New series of interviews with ECTMIH 2023 partners

The ECTMIH 2023 programme will be shaped by over 20 headline sessions organised by our partners and their collaborators across the globe. Topics and cross-cutting themes in these  sessions include planetary health, the EU global strategy, refugee and migrant health advocacy, and specialist training in resource-poor settings. These will provide a most comprehensive and stimulating framework for our debate and discussion at Congress in November.

To give you a good overview of what to expect from these sessions, we have started a new series of interviews with our partners, and we were delighted to launch this series with Dr Alay Llamas, ECTMIH 2023 local organising committee member, in conversation with Professor Frank Cobelens, Executive Chair of the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health & Development about the headline session entitled "The new EU Global Health Strategy: implications for research"

In discussion, Alay and Frank covered why and how global health is an essential pillar of EU external policy, why a new EU global health strategy will be central to a sustainable and meaningful partnerships among EU and non-EU countries, and what the impressive line-up of session speakers will contribute to the discussion in November.

Here's their discussion in full:
